The Muppets tell Chick-Fil-A to go scratch!

Kermit, Miss Piggy and Jim Henson himself (well, his spirit) stand up for equality!

Chick-Fil-A, the hate chain masked in fatty chickens’ clothing is facing resistance from people and even Muppets who know better than to support their hateful agenda. On July 20th, The Jim Henson Company announced on its Facebook page that it is severing ties wih the fast-food bigot, including nixing the continuation of Muppet’s child toy line to go along with their horrid food.

The Jim Henson Company had this to say regarding their relationship with Chick-Fil-A…

“The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over 50 years and we have notified Chick-fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors. Lisa Henson, our CEO, is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chick-fil-A to GLAAD” 

Well Amen to that!

Boston Mayor Thomas Meninio also recently went anti-Chick with a public statement in which he says that he will not allow for Chick-Fil-A to set up in Boston, a city that serves all. Meninio stated he will make the permits for such restaurants impossible to obtain.

I’m glad to hear this is happening! Muppets have common sense, why cant Christian Evangelists?!
