GRIMM Hailed as a top Fringe show!

GRIMM hailed as a top show to see at Fringe and we told ya’ about it first!

GRIMM, one of the most haunting and highly anticipated shows of the NYC Fringe Festival 2012 is under production! And at www.wePRIDEny.com we have been bringing you the scoop on GRIMM first! Last week we told you how to get tickets to this amazing show – a twisted fairy-tale that puts a chilling twist on children’s classic stories. It is also my pleasure to tell you that GRIMM has been selected by the  Broadway producer Ken Davenport as one of the Top 10 shows that stand out this year at NYC Fringe! That’s amazing! First off, congrats to the creator Kenny Kruper (of The Free Candy Band), as well as GRIMM’s director Olivia Hartle. And second – CONGRATS to my uber-talented girlfriend who has been cast in the show at the last minute! She’s amazing and picking up the role of someone who dropped out. (See kids, even professional theatre is not without it’s internal drama!)  More props are in order for the whole production team, crew and cast! GRIMM-tastic!

Davenport had this to say about GRIMM:

Let’s face it.  Musicals are fantasies.  People don’t walk down the street and start singing about not being able to pay the rent, or about the way to make meat pies out of people.  So why not start with a fantasy as your source material?  Grimm material is ripe for musicalization.  It just “feels” right, you know?  Let’s see if the Big Theatre Company got it right.

As someone lucky enough to be on the inside of GRIMM, I KNOW they got it right! Get your tickets here, before they sell out!  I’ll be there opening night, the night after and several times after that. (Yes, it’s that good!)
